Merry Christmas

After the last couple of years of mayhem, it’s time to settle down and take some time out, in person this year, with family and friends. We hope that you have time to stop and reflect on the true meaning of the Christmas period.

We have a couple of updates to provide as the final stages of 2021 unfold.

  • Christmas trading hours

  • Number porting and network embargo

  • Setting up a Christmas time switch

Christmas & New Year Trading Hours

Our team will be taking some time out to catch up with loved ones over the Christmas period. We’ll have limited support during the following times but we’ll be monitoring things to make sure all is working as it should.

Our trading hours will be:

  • Friday 24th December - 9:00AM - 2:00PM

  • Monday 27th December - CLOSED

  • Tuesday 28th December - CLOSED

  • Wednesday 29th December - 10:00AM - 3:00PM

  • Thursday 30th December - 10:00AM - 3:00PM

  • Friday 31st December - 10:00AM - 2:00PM

  • Monday 3rd January - CLOSED

  • Tuesday 4th January - Return to normal hours.

Our upstream carriers will also have reduced staff capacity. We will continue to monitor our systems closely throughout this period.

Number Porting

As most carriers also scale back their operations over the holiday period, any number ports may take a little longer than usual. Our team will continue to process newly submitted ports and track those in progress, however please be aware that the time taken from port submission to port completion may be slower, and that updates to ports in progress may not be available during this period. We expect that number port processing will return to normal in mid January.

Network Embargo

From 5PM, Friday 17th December 2021 through to 9AM, Monday 10th January 2022 we will not be performing any non-essential work on our network or infrastructure.

Sonic Voice - Christmas Time Switch

If you, like many other businesses, are taking some time off over the holiday period, you may wish to setup your holiday opening times and play your callers a specific holiday greeting on your Sonic Voice phone system. Please contact us if you’d like assistance with setting this up.
